ABOUT DR. APPLONIE
Dr. Ryan Applonie is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery, joint replacement, fracture care, and sports-related injuries. He provides both surgical and non-surgical treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, helping patients restore mobility, reduce pain, and return to active living.
After completing orthopaedic surgery training, Dr. Applonie pursued advanced fellowship training in shoulder and elbow surgery through the Connecticut Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship at the University of Connecticut. His fellowship focused on complex shoulder reconstruction, arthroscopic shoulder surgery, shoulder replacement, and advanced upper extremity care.
An Idaho native, Dr. Applonie returned home after completing his education and training throughout the Midwest and Northeast. Since joining Capital Surgical Associates in 2019, he has provided comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients throughout the Treasure Valley.
